Locus Magazine announces 2018 Locus Award nominees.

Locus Magazine announced their 2018 Locus Award finalists.

The Young Adult Book category nominees include: Tool of War by Paolo Bacigalupi; In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan; The Dragon with a Chocolate Heart by Stephanie Burgis; Chalk by Paul Cornell; Buried Heart by Kate Elliott; A Skinful of Shadows by Frances Hardinge; Frogkisser! by Garth Nix; Akata Warrior by Nnedi Okorafor; Shadowhouse Fall by Daniel José Older; and The Book of Dust by Philip Pullman.

There are sixteen categories in the 2018 Locus Awards. While there is only one category exclusive to young adult novels, The Art of Starving by Sam J. Miller was nominated in the First Novel category.

The Locus Awards are awarded annually and are hosted by the magazine Locus. Winners are selected through polling the magazine readers.

The 2018 Award winners will be announced during the Locus Awards Weekend in Seattle, WA at the end of June. For more information, please visit Locus Magazine’s website.
