Young Adult Review Network celebrates 5th anniversary

YARN is launching a series of 5 question interviews on its site with many well-known YA authors, including Jacqueline Woodson, Kwame Alexander, Jennifer Donnelly, Francesca Lia Block and Lamar Giles.

Woodson is also contributing an outtake poem from her award-winning novel Brown Girl Dreaming.

YARN will be launching its first summer edition. YARN will also be merging their annual poetry contest with their celebration of their anniversary, challenging writers to write a poem that plays with the idea of five. The winner will receive a ten-page manuscript critique from YARN alumn and literary agent John M. Cusick.

Founded in 2010, YARN is the first and leading independent online literary journal dedicated to short form YA literature, including short stories and poetry. It has helped launch the careers of Phoebe North and Stephen Eoannou and has featured works from Sara Zarr, Blythe Woolston and Steve Brezenoff.
