USA Book News names THE HEARTLIGHT SAGA best YA fiction of 2014

the heartlight saga t.a. barronUSA Book News announced the winners and finalists of the 2014 USA Best Book Awards on November 12th.

The winner of the young adult fiction category was The Heartlight Saga by T.A. Barron. The Heartlight Saga is a series of three books which follow a teenage girl named Kate who travels far and wide: back in time to a lost Native American tribe; down to the very bottom of the sea; and to a distant galaxy to save the life of her astronomer grandfather.

The winner of the young adult non-fiction category was If You Tell Me, I Can Fly! by Sharon Thayer, illustrated by Linda Nagy, an inspirational book which uses flying as a metaphor for success.

The Best Book Awards are presented annually by USA Book News, an online publication dedicated to publicising books published in the USA.  The award celebrates the best of current American literature.
