Tara Sim reveals TIMEKEEPER sequel title

Did you love Tara Sim’s queer magical debut Timekeeper? Its sequel hits shelves this year, and she recently announced the title: Chainbreaker.

Timekeeper takes place in an alternate Victorian world controlled by clock towers, where a damaged clock can fracture time — and a destroyed one can stop it completely. When clock mechanic Danny is assigned to Enfield his new apprentice both annoys and intrigues him. Danny soon discovers why: he is the tower’s clock spirit, a mythical being that oversees Enfield’s time. Though the boys are drawn together by their loneliness, Danny knows falling in love with a clock spirit is forbidden.

In Chainbreaker, Danny hoped to settle into a peaceful new life. But clock towers in India are falling, and time isn’t stopping. Danny’s investigation into the new towers uncovers a greater mystery – one from which he might never return.

Timekeeper is available now. Chainbreaker releases this November.
