“The book will bring to life characters, scenes and objects from all of the titles in the series,” said Bloomsbury Children’s in their press release.

Maas’ Throne of Glass series started off as a story on FictionPress.com entitled Queen of Glass. The series follows assassin Celaena Sardothien. In the first book, Prince Dorian offers Celaena the opportunity to become his royal assassin and earn her freedom. Celaena must compete against thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire in order to secure the new position.

The Mark Gordon Company optioned television rights to the series.

While there are plenty of adult coloring books floating around, only a few are angled for the YA audience, including the Harry Potter coloring book – which use scenes from the film – and The Vampire Combat Field Guide – a coloring book that doubles as a detailed guide to slaying bloodsuckers; this will be the first coloring book inspired by a book series hasn’t been adapted into a film.
