THE SUN IS ALSO A STAR movie rights optioned by MGM, Warner Bros

the-sun-is-also-a-star-nicola-yoonWe love when our favorite YA books are adapted into films. Nicola Yoon’s The Sun Is Also A Star made our best of 2016 list – so we’re understandably excited that The Sun Is Also A Star movie rights sold to Warner Bros. and MGM!

Natasha believes in facts. Daniel has always been the good son. When the two meet, just 12 hours before Natasha and her family are to be deported to Jamaica, it’s like the universe is telling them that there’s more to their story.

Warner Bros. and MGM will adapt the film, with Alloy Entertainment’s Les Morgenstein and Elysa Dutton to produce. Tracy Oliver will write the screenplay adaptation.

A film adaptation of Nicola Yoon’s debut novel Everything Everything will hit screens on May 19, starring Amandla Stenberg and Nick Robinson.

The Sun is Also A Star is available now.
