THE RAFT wins 2015 Missouri Truman Readers Award

the raft sa bodeenS.A. Bodeen’s The Raft took home the 2015 Missouri Truman Readers’ Award.

The Raft is about Robie and Max, whose plane crashes over the Pacific Ocean and leaves them abandoned in the water.

The Missouri Truman Readers Award is voted on by Missouri students who have read at least four of the nominated books.

Other nominees for the for the award included Marissa Meyer’s Cinder and Leigh Bardugo’s Shadow and Bone. Nominees for the 2015-2016 award have already been announced and include The Girl Who Was Supposed to Die by April Henry, Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza, Sylo by D.J. MacHale and Tandem by Anna Jarzab.
