THE CAGE movie being shopped with Maze Runner director


the cage film megan shepherdMegan Shepherd’s YA science-fiction novel The Cage is trying to find a big-screen home. Wes Ball, director of The Maze Runner film adaptation, is attached to the project.

In The Cage, a group of teens is held captive in a human zoo run by extraterrestrials. But when one of the teens falls in love with one of her alien captors, she’s forced to decide if escape is worth it. The Cage releases from Balzer & Bray on May 26th.

Tracking Board reported that companies looking at the potential film adaptation include Warner Bros., MGM, New Line, Universal and Fox, among others.
