TFIOS wins Booktrust Best Book Award

The Booktrust Best Awards chose John Green’s The Fault In Our Stars as their first ever award winner.

The Booktrust Awards was run with Amazon Kindle as a part of Children’s Book Week 2014. Judges voted on a shortlist of novels eligible in their various categories. Thousands of students then voted on their favorites in each category. Green took home the 12 – 14 age  category for best story.

The shortlist included You Don’t Know Me by Sophia Bennett, Heroic by Phil Earle, and Dead Romantic by C J Skuse.

The Fault In Our Stars follows the friendship and romance of Hazel and Augustus, two teenagers with different forms of cancer.
