For the second year in a row, San Fransisco’s Litquake will be holding Teenquake, an event that brings together a “super fantastic community of teen readers and writers and the adults who love them,” according to their website.
The Teenquake Author Salon on October 12th will be hosting an impressive group of YA authors, including Stacey Jay (Of Beast and Beauty) and Michelle Gagnon (Don’t Look Now).
Jay can’t wait for the event. She’s excited to share Of Beast and Beauty – it’s her favorite thing she’s written so far. And what she’s most looking forward to at Teenquake?
“Meeting readers. Answering their questions, sharing the love of reading, and generally geeking out about books. And cookies. If there aren’t cookies, then the readers will be more than enough,” laughed Jay.
Gagnon has never been to the Teenquake event before, but “Veronica Rossi (Under the Never Sky) has got me all pumped up for it.”
Like most authors, Gagnon is excited to meet her readers – and to have a chance to fangirl over other YA authors.
“Especially Michael Grant! I devoured his GONE series,” said Gagnon.
Other authors in attendance will include Debra Driza (Mila 2.o), Ingrid Paulson (Valkyrie Rising), Amy Reed (Beautiful), Veronica Rossi (Under the Never Sky), Kasie West (Pivot Point) and Daisy Whitney (The Mockingbirds).
“My publisher booked me on a panel at New York ComicCon, [which]takes place the day before. But I’ll be landing just in time to make it! So brace yourselves for some extremely jet-lagged conversation with me,” said Gagnon.
Litquake will run from October 11 until October 20. For more information on the event, visit the Teenquake website.
