52 reasons to hate my father jessica brodyReliance Productions and Kintop Pictures acquired the film rights to Jessica Brody’s contemporary novel 52 Reasons to Hate My Father.

52 Reasons to Hate My Father follows teenage heiress Lexington Larrabee, whose absent tycoon father decides to teach her a lesson after she crashes her brand new Mercedes convertible into a convenience store. Lexi must take on a different low-wage job every week for a year if she ever wants to receive her beloved trust fund. But if there’s anything worse than working as a maid, a dishwasher, and a fast-food restaurant employee, it’s dealing with Luke, the arrogant, albeit attractive, college intern her father has assigned to keep tabs on her.

The Hollywood Reporter announced that Deepak Nayar, Tabrez Noorani, and Soumya Sundaresh will produce the feature. Nayar, Noorani, and Sundaresh are also currently producing Unremembered, the first novel in Brody’s successful YA science fiction trilogy.
