New Lunar Chronicles content to be released on ‘Cyborg Monday’

cress marissa meyerTo celebrate the upcoming release of Cress, the third book in Marissa Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles series, author Meyer and her publishers Macmillan Teen Books will be hosting #CyborgMonday.  Throughout the day on Monday, December 2, Meyer and Macmillan Teen will be revealing exclusive new content relating to Cress on Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter, including a community read-alone, giveaways, a twitter chat with Meyer, the book trailer, the first five chapters of Cress, a sneak peak at an upcoming Lunar Chronicles short story, a new Cress teaser, and the schedule for Meyer’s February book tour.

The Lunar Chronicles are YA sci-fi retellings of classic fairy tales, each with their own unique twist.  The first book of the series introduced readers to a penniless cyborg named Cinder.  In book two, Cinder teamed up with Scarlet, a French farm girl searching for her missing grandmother.  In book three, Cinder and Scarlet will be joined by Cress, a young woman with an awful lot of hair, locked in a satellite circling the Earth.

The twitter chat with Meyer will begin on Monday, December 2, at 9pm EST / 6pm PST, using the hashtag #CyborgMonday.  For more information and how to get involved, visit Marissa Meyer’s website.
