NerdCon, a new convention hosted by brothers Hank and John Green, announced its first guests for its inaugural convention this October.
Hosted at the Minneapolic Convention Center on October 9th and 10th, the inaugural NerdCon: Stories will celebrate aspects of nerd culture and storytelling.
The list of inaugural authors attending NerdCon: Stories include a dozen or so YA authors with the full guest list not yet announced. Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instruments), Holly Black (The Darkest Part of the Forest), Jacqueline Woodson (Brown Girl Dreaming), Maggie Stiefvater (The Raven Cycle), Matt de la Peña (The Hunted), and Stephanie Perkins (Isla and the Happily Ever After) will be just some of the guests in attendance.
Twitter aficionado and Shades of London author Maureen Johnson is listed as a guest, as the health issues that prevented her from going on tour will hopefully have dissipated by October. The Fault in Our Stars author John Green, who is the co-creator of the event, is also listed as a guest.
The cost of registration to both days of NerdCon starts at $100. Single-day passes are not available. To learn more about NerdCon, visit their website.
