Nader wins 2014 Silver Falchion Award

The 2014 Silver Falchion Awards announced the winner of this year’s Best Young Adult category was Escape From Eden by debut author Elisa Nader.

In Escape From Eden, sixteen-year-old Mia lives under the iron fist of the fundamentalist preacher of Edenton, a supposed “Garden of Eden” deep in the South American jungle. Everyone in Edenton follows the Reverend’s strict but arbitrary rules—even the mandate of whom they can marry. When the rebellious and sexy Gabriel, a new boy, arrives with his family, Mia sees a chance to escape.

The Silver Falchion Awards are an annual literary award run by the Killer Nashville Writer’s Conference, celebrating the best of fiction and non-fiction novels published in North America within the past year.  Other nominees included The Rules for Disappearing by Ashley Elston, The Enchanted Heir by Cinda Williams Chima, These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Megan Spooner, The Tell-Tale Con by Aimee Gilchrist, Crash Into You by Katie McGarry, and Playing Tyler by T.L. Costa.

Escape from Eden is available now. To view the full list of Silver Falchion winners and finalists, visit their website.
