Maureen Johnson (The Madness Underneath) will speak at the third annual New York Ideas forum at the New-York Historical Society on Tuesday, May 6th. The forum gathers 600 “thought leaders” from New York and across the United States for panels, interviews, debates, displays, and break-out sessions. The goal of the forum is to “draw out the strands of genius from leaders whose work and passions are changing our world.”

Johnson will take part in a session titled “Gawking: New Media’s Personality-Driven Journalism.” Others in the session include Pitchfork CEO Ryan Schreiber and The Awl co-founder Choire Sicha.
