Marissa Meyer pens superhero novel for NaNoWriMo

cress marissa meyerLunar Chronicles author Marissa Meyer is participating in NaNoWriMo again. This year, her focus is on the first in her new superhero series.

“I’ve spent the last three weeks scrambling to make myself sort-of, kind-of, semi-prepared for it, and… I have failed. I am the Queen of Unprepared this year,” said Meyer, who is notorious for her detailed plans and outlines.

NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month, is an event where writers from all over the world come together to write 50,000 words in one month.

Tentatively called The Gatlon School for Vigilatantes, Meyer describes the new series as being about “superheroes, supervillains, and the gray areas in between.” More can be found at her blog post or her Pinterest page.
