List of the Week: Books for GRACELING fans


Graceling Kristin CashoreEverybody loves Graceling by Kristin Cashore. But not everybody knows what to read next! So this week, we’ve compiled a list of books for Graceling fans!

The first in the Lumatere Chronicles, Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta takes place in tha world where the royal family of Lumatere was murdered and the kingdom cursed. But now Finnikin has been summoned to meet Evanjalin, a young woman who claims that the heir of Lumatere’s throne is alive.

The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner follows Gen, who is selected to be the king’s thief when one of the king’s scholars discovers the site of an ancient treasure.

The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima is the first in the Seven Realms series. Han taks the amulet of the Demon King from the Bayars, who are determined to get them back. Meanwhile, Raisa is returning to court after three years of freedom. Together, they could change the fate of the Seven Realms.

Mistwood by Leah Cypess follows Isabel, who remembers nothing, and Prince Rokan, who needs Isabel to become his immortal Shifter.

The first of a trilogy, The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson takes place in a Spanish-inspired fantasy world. At age sixteen, Elisa becomes the secret wife of a handsome king, but he’s not the only one who wants to use the power and prophecy attached to her.

Liyana’s desert tribe abandons her in Vessel by Sarah Beth Durst. Liyana sets out to reclaim the gods that have supposedly abandoned her people.

Serpentine by Cindy Pon takes place in the Kingdom of Xia and follows Skybright, who serves a wealthy family during the day and finds a darkness no daybreak can quell at night.

Huntress by Malinda Lo sends Kaede and Taisin to the city of the Fairy Queen to save their country – but the Kingdom only needs one huntress to save it.

The classic Alanna: The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce is considered a must-read for any fantasy fan, not just for fans of Graceling. Alanna poses as a boy to become a knight and begins training at the castle as a page.

Adrienne Satti was once an aristocrat, but now she is Widdershins, a thief with a god living in her head, in Thief’s Covenant by Ari Marmell.
