Laurie Halse Anderson announces 2014 book tour dates


the impossible knife of memory laurie halse andersonAuthor Laurie Halse Anderson (Speak) has announced her official tour dates for 2014.  In January of next year Anderson will be touring bookstores and libraries in the U.S. to promote her new novel, The Impossible Knife of Memory.

The Impossible Knife of Memory is Anderson’s latest contemporary realistic novel for young adults.  In The Impossible Knife of Memory, Hayley Kincaid and her father, Andy, have been on the road for five years, never staying long in one place as he struggles to escape the demons that have tortured him since his return from Iraq.  When they return to his hometown, Haley begins to imagine she could have a normal life, even have a relationship with Finn, the hot guy who obviously likes her but is hiding secrets of his own.

Anderson will also be visiting schools in Muscat, Oman and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in February, and she is scheduled to attend several conferences and book festivals in the U.S. next Spring.  Her full schedule is as follows:
