Lauren Oliver to host Banned Books Week panel


delirium lauren oliverDelirium author Lauren Oliver will be speaking on a Banned Books Week discussion panel hosted on Google+ Hangouts this Wednesday.  The live event, moderated by author and Children’s Librarian Betsy Bird, will feature a panel of authors whose works have caused controversy: Lauren Oliver, Lev Grossman, and Lexa Hillyer.  The discussion will focus on “banned books, censorship, and writing about difficult themes”.

The authors are encouraging fans to use #LO_bannedbooks to contribute to the discussion by sending in questions for Oliver, Grossman, and Hillyer to answer.

Lauren and Friends: Banned Books Week will take place on Wednesday 25th September, 10pm PST, and will later be uploaded to Oliver’s YouTube channel. For more on Lauren Oliver, visit her website.
