L.A. Meyer dies from lymphoma cancer


L.A. Meyer died on July 29th from complications of Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Meyer wrote the Bloody Jack series, a historical young adult series that followed pirate queen Jacky Faber’s adventures. The twelfth and last book in the series, Wild Rover No More, will be published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in September.

Meyer is survived by his wife and sons. Those wishing to honor his memory are encouraged to donate in his name to the Main Coast Hospital. More information and condolences can be found at the Jordan-Fernland website.
