Irving Public Library to host North Texas Teen Book Festival 2014

Irving Public Library announced plans to host the first North Texas Teen Book Festival on March 7th, 2015.  The event will feature more than 25 middle grade and young adult authors speaking in five panels.  Planned activities throughout the day also include book signings, giveaways, and “Speed Date with a Book”, in which the participant can select one of the books they “dated” to take home.

To raise funds and support of the event, Irving Public Library began a Kickstarter campaign, in which over $10,000 were donated by members of the public. Thanks to the successful fundraising campaign, entry tickets for the event will be free.  The festival will be held at the Irving Convention Centre in Irving, Texas.
