“Inertia” movie rights sell to Fox 2000


summer days and summer nights stephanie perkinsFox 2000 bought the movie rights to Veronica Roth’s short story “Inertia.”

First appearing in Summer Days and Summer Nights, “Inertia” takes place in a world where technology allows “last visitations.” When Claire’s estranged best friend Matt is left in critical condition, she learns he’s requested their minds be connected.

Roth’s Divergent series, starring Shailene Woodley, hit the big screen in installments over the past few years to mixed success.
