We love when celebrities read YA – and we love it even more when they share it with their fans. Pop artist Iggy Azalea took to Twitter to recommend Becky Albertalli’s Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda to her millions of followers.

I really loved reading “simon vs. the homo sapiens agenda” even tho i think i might be older than the intended demographic. lol.

Azalea also teased her followers – many of who admitted to not reading, and to not knowing what Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda was – to read more.

cool. so. no one on my timeline reads books. this needs to change. like at least 2 a year that your teacher didnt pick for you. lol!

Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda follows Simon Spier, a junior in high school and not-so-openly gay, is forced to play wingman for class clown Martin when an email falls into the wrong hands. It also risks the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he’s been flirtatiously emailing.

The recommendation left Albertalli “speechless.”
