HarperCollins aquire Frey and Johnson-Shelton’s ENDGAME

HarperCollins have acquired the rights to Endgame, a new science fiction trilogy by authors James Frey (Lorien Legacies) and Nils Johnson-Shelton (Otherworld Chronicles). In Endgame, the people of a world similar to Earth are divided into 12 bloodlines or races, each of which produces a teenage warrior to eliminate all other bloodlines except their own.

HarperCollins have announced plans to produce a multimedia experience surrounding Endgame, including fifteen digital novellas, an interactive puzzle, prizes, YouTube videos, and social media events.   The plot of Endgame has already gained attention in the online literature community with murmurs of unoriginality after several sources branded the novel ‘The Hunger Games-esque’. Film rights for Endgame have been brought for $2 million by Fox.

The first book of the series, Endgame: The Calling is due to be published on October 7th 2014 by HarperCollins.
