HarperCollins acquires modern fantasy THE MARKED GIRL

HarperCollins acquired The Marked Girl, a modern fantasy from debut novelist and TV writers’ assistant Lindsey Klingele.

The story combines epic fantasy with urban fantasy as a group of royal teenagers from a medieval-esque world find themselves trapped in modern-day Los Angeles. Led by a street-smart girl from our own world, the teens must try to find their way home.

The rights to two as-yet-untitled sequels have also been acquired by HarperCollins.

Lindsey Klingele is the writer’s assistant for ABC Family’s Twisted. For more, follow her on Twitter.
