Gayle Forman’s JUST ONE DAY duology to become motion picture

just one day by gayle formanFollowing the successful film adaptation of Gayle Forman’s best-selling 2009 novel If I Stay earlier this year, Universal Studios optioned Forman’s duology Just One Day and Just One Year. They plan to combine the two stories into one single feature film.

Just One Day follows Allyson Healey, a girl who, on the spur of the moment, decides to spend a day of risk and romance in Paris with a young Dutch actor named Willem. Their day together transforms Allyson’s life, and leads her down an unexpected path on a year-long journey of self-discovery.  The companion novel, Just One Year, follows Willem’s side of the story.

The Hollywood Reporter announced that Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will produce the feature, with Forman on board as an executive producer.

Just One Day is available now. For more on Forman, follow her on Tumblr, Facebook or Twitter.
