Jennifer Lee, writer and co-director of Disney’s animated hit Frozen, will write the screenplay for a new adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time for Disney, according to Variety. The classic YA novel tells the story of a Meg Murry and her younger brother Charles Wallace as they search for their missing father across space and time.
A Wrinkle In Time, first published in 1962, was previously adapted into a universally panned TV movie in 2003.
Lee will take over the script from Jeff Stockwell, who wrote the script for the film adaptation of Bridge to Tarabithia.
There is no director attached to the new adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time yet.
