London Comic Con announces first guest authors

Last year Children’s Laureate Malorie Blackman announced plans to host the U.K.’s first Young Adult Literature Convention at this summer’s London Film and Comic Con on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July 2014.  The convention is part of Blackman’s campaign as Laureate and will include talks, workshops, signings, a book sales area and book stands promoting new releases from the U.K.’s YA publishers. Blackman and LFCC have since revealed an initial list of guest authors who will be in attendance:

  • Malorie Blackman (Noughts & Crosses)
  • James Dawson (Say Her Name)
  • Matt Haig (The Dead Father’s Club)
  • Derek Landy (Skulduggery Pleasant)
  • Sophie McKenzie (Girl, Missing)
  • Patrick Ness (The Knife of Never Letting Go)
  • Natasha Ngan (The Elites)
  • Darren Shan (Cirque du Freak)
  • Ruth Warburton (A Witch in Winter)
