CLMP announces shortlist for Firecracker Awards

The Community of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP) announced the shortlists for their Firecracker Awards. The Firecracker Awards celebrate works from independent and self-published authors with “smoldering” literary merit.

The shortlist for the young adult category are Jennie Wood’s A Boy Like Me, Ransom Riggs’ Hollow City, Melanie Bishop’s My So-Called Ruined Life, Patricia Dunn’s Rebels by Accident, and Patty Blount’s Some Boys.

The young adult category was judged by author Katie Coyle, literary agent Sarah LaPolla and bookbuyer Jordan Nielsen. Winners will be announced on May 27th. For more about the CLMP’s Firecracker Awards, visit their Facebook page.
