Ch1Con open for registration

Are you a young writer looking to hone your skills? The 2017 Chapter One Young Writers Conference (Ch1Con) is back on August 5 in downtown Chicago and it might be just the thing you’re looking for.

Ch1Con is a writer’s conference entirely by and for young writers, ages 11 to 23. This year, Ch1Con is bigger and brighter than ever at a brand new venue: the SPACE by Doejo event center in downtown Chicago, accessible through the After-Words bookshop. The 2017 speaker lineup features Kody Keplinger, author of a bevy of YA hits including The DUFF (now a major motion picture!), literary agent Brent Taylor, and more.

Attendees will have the chance to participate in literary trivia games and giveaways, with prizes including professional critiques, signed books, and advanced reader copies of upcoming books. There will also be an author panel open to any and all questions at the end of the conference, followed by a book and swag signing by participating speakers.

Registration is currently open on the Ch1Con website for young writers. Early registrants will only pay $49.99, though the price goes up closer to the event. For more, visit the Ch1Con website.
