Bookseller Industry Awards announces nominees


Bookseller Industry Awards half bad sally greenThe Bookseller Industry Awards, which celebrates achievements in U.K. bookselling throughout the year, announced its shortlist nominees for its 2015 season.

Nominees for children’s bookseller of the year are Foyles, The Book Nook, The Edinburgh Bookshop, Troubadour, Waterstones Storytellers, Inc.

Nominees for children’s publisher of the year are Chicken House, DK, Egmont Publishing, Hachette Children’s Books, HarperCollins Children’s Books, Nosy Crow, Simon & Schuster Children’s Books and Usborne Publishing. Nosy Crow was also nominated for independent publisher of the year.

Penguin’s campaign for Half Bad by Sally Green was nominated for best publicity campaign of the year.

Other notable divisions include the Manager of the Year award, whose entire shortlist is made up of women for the first time in the awards’ history. No woman has won the award in previous years.
