Louise O’Neill sells ASKING FOR IT TV show rights

Asking For It follows Emma, who attends a party and wakes up on the front porch of her house with no memory of how she got there and no idea why she’s in pain. But photographs at the party show just what happened, and even when the evidence is right in front of them, some people don’t want to believe the truth when it concerns the town’s heroes.

Asking For It won Book of the Year at the Irish Book Awards, the Literature Prize at Irish Tatler’s Women of the Year Awards, and was shortlisted for The Bookseller’s YA Book Prize.

According to The Bookseller, O’Neill will co-write the script of the Asking For It TV show. Asking For It is available now.
