2013 Nebula Award Nominees announced


The Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) have announced their 2013 Nebula nominees, including the nominees for the Andre Norton Award for Young Adult Science Fiction and Fantasy.

Nominees for the Andre Norton Award for Young Adult Science Fiction and Fantasy are as follows:

  • The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black (Little, Brown; Indigo)
  • When We Wake by Karen Healey (Allen & Unwin; Little, Brown)
  • Sister Mine by Nalo Hopkinson (Grand Central)
  • The Summer Prince by Alaya Dawn Johnson (Levine)
  • Hero by Alethea Kontis (Harcourt)
  • September Girls by Bennett Madison (Harper Teen)
  • A Corner of White by Jaclyn Moriarty (Levine)

The Nebula Awards are “voted on, and presented by, active members of SFWA.” Voting opened on March 1st and will close on March 30th.

The award ceremony, which traditionally takes place over the course of one weekend, will be hosted in mid-May in San Jose. The weekend event includes a mass autograph session, which is open to the public. Non-SFWA members are invited to register for the event.
