New Line Cinema and Alloy Entertainment are working together to develop a 13 Little Blue Envelopes film.

In Maureen Johnson’s 13 Little Blue Envelopes, Ginny finds thirteen envelopes after her aunt dies, forcing her on a trip that takes her around the world. 13 Little Blue Envelopes has a sequel entitled The Last Little Blue Envelope; there is no news yet on if that story will be incorporated into the film.

According to Tracking Board, Elysa Dutton will produce the film.

New Line Cinema is the company behind the successful film adaptation of Gayle Forman’s If I Stay, along with adaptations Cornelia Funke’s Inkheart and Philip Pullman’s The Golden Compass. CBS is currently adapting Let It Snow, a novel Maureen Johnson co-wrote with Lauren Myracle and John Green.
